ALI SHIELD

Ali Shield is a 27-year-old Australian Sunny Coast native with a passion for poetry that started at the tender age of 9. She later turned her love for words into a love for songwriting and, at 15, took her first step onto the stage. Performing on the back of a flatbed truck at a local festival in Kenilworth, Queensland she bared her soul with lyrics and a guitar for the first time. From that moment, her musical journey unfolded, with performances spanning both local and national stages along the east coast of Australia. Writing and releasing her first EP a few years later, ‘The Lounge Room Sessions’ led her to perform at Australia’s biggest country music festival in Tamworth, NSW. Her single and music video ‘City of Dreams’, written about her dreams to move to Nashville, aired on the Country Music Channel (now CMT). After being accepted into the Academy of Country Music, she graduated in January 2019 and embarked on a globe-trotting journey with her mother, in a Thelma-and-Louise-esque adventure series. From getting lost in the Rocky Mountains and bogged in the desert at Joshua Tree and finally landing in the heart of country music - Nashville, Tennessee. This is where she teamed up with Australian producer and manager Nash Chambers, and they have since been writing and recording remotely through COVID, then in his studio in Nashville to release her new EP, which promises a collection of songs that showcase her unique vocals and soul-baring lyrics.  With unique vocals and lyrics that serve as a window to her soul, Ali Shield's music is a heartfelt expression of her experiences in love, loss and life so far.
